Damien Malone

Damien is responsible for the strategic development of the firm and under his management the practice has seen very significant growth of both the domestic and the international client base of the practice. He is a fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants, a Statutory Auditor and a member of the Institute of Taxation in Ireland. With over 15 years’ experience, he specialises in the areas of taxation, statutory audit, outsourced accounting, payroll and financial management services, corporate finance and business consultancy. He works with clients from a range of diverse sectors including manufacturing, construction, technology, not-for-profit, retail, hospitality and professional services. He has also been the lead contact in assisting many overseas companies establish operations in Ireland.Damien has also undertaken various seminars and lectures on a range of financial, taxation and business matters and is available to speak on such topics by arrangement.As COO Derek holds a vital position within Malone & Co. and oversees the management of its daily activities including human resources, finance, sales, marketing, client services and information technology. Derek provides strategic direction for the company to make sure that all necessary business tasks are being carried out. Monitoring progress on strategic initiatives and working closely with the team, Derek sets best practice guidelines to ensure the efficient completion of work to meet company standards. With over thirty years’ experience in the sales and marketing field and with the last fifteen held in senior management positions in both Ireland and Europe, Derek has been responsible for the profitable management and development of an extensive product range across varied supply channels. Areas of responsibility have included full P&L, change management, business process reengineering, restructuring, corporate branding, commercial development of new products, technical marketing, cross functional management across all business functions including Human Resources, Finance and Supply Chain. Joanne Kelly holds a QFA qualification and has over 16 years retail banking, branch management and all related KYC compliance activity. She is also certified in financial risk & experienced in SME lending. Joanne currently holds the role of Anti Money Laundering Compliance Manager. She is responsible for managing the internal AML client onboarding processes, oversight of the firms AML processes and controls and drafting our AML polices & procedures to ensure compliance with the ever increasing obligations imposed on firms. She also has oversight of staff training & ensures that management and the team are kept up to date with the regulations. A fellow of the Association of Certified Public Accountants of Ireland, Lesley has over 20 years of quality experience in dealing with a diverse range of owner managed companies, professional firms, regulated entries and the not-for-profit sector. Lesley is part of the firms senior management responsible for the development and oversight of one of our teams, ensuring the consistent delivery of quality advice and service to a large portfolio of local and international businesses. Janette is a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Ireland. With over 23 years’ solid practice experience working across all areas but specialising in SME audit, Janette also has significant expertise in sectors such as not for profit, charities and central bank regulated entities. Janette also provides quality accounts preparation services for audit exempt companies, outsourced management accounting services, personal taxation, payroll and company secretarial compliance services. and undertakes regular professional development courses to ensure that she stays current with all financial, auditing and tax related issues which may affect her clients and commits herself to retaining a focus on quality and professionalism at all times. Prior to joining the practice, and separate to her previous big4 practice experience, Ann held roles in industry including as a Fund Accounting Manager for JP Morgan in the International Financial Services Centre and as Finance Manager for the customer service department of a large Life Assurance Company. He gained his initial experience through practice work in a mid-size firm up until 2011 and subsequently took on a managerial role of a well respected corporate & business service provider. This ultimately led him to become Director and Shareholder until he made the move to join our firm. Dave plays a hands-on role assisting clients with their day to day accounting requirements, acting as outsourced financial controller for our Irish & International clients, and oversees the migration of our clients accounting processes to cloud based systems. He is also extremely capable and well renowned at solving complex financial issues that arise in his client portfolio. Louise is a fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants and has worked exclusively in practice for over sixteen years holding management roles over the last decade. She works closely with private clients across a wide range of sectors and industries and also has significant exposure to the not for profit sector and management companies. She has extensive experience in accounts preparation, business and personal taxes including Income Tax, VAT, RCT and Corporation Tax. She enjoys building lasting relationships with clients, and ensuring they receive excellent care and service.Catherine has over 8 years’ experience in Practice both in large and small sized firms serving clients across many varied sectors and industries. She also has experience of both Irish and UK compliance having worked in Scotland for some time. She holds an Accountancy degree from NCI and is a time qualified, ACCA exam finalist. Lidia holds a bachelor’s degree in finance & Commercial Banking and has 3 years practice experience working across various services, including bookkeeping, payroll, accounts preparation for SMEs and audit exempt companies, corporate and personal taxation, and company secretarial compliance. Lidia completed her IPASS and is currently preparing to sit her ACCA exams.
