As COO Derek holds a vital position within Malone & Co. and oversees the management of its daily activities including human resources, finance, sales, marketing, client services and information technology. Derek provides strategic direction for the company to make sure that all necessary business tasks are being carried out. Monitoring progress on strategic initiatives and working closely with the team, Derek sets best practice guidelines to ensure the efficient completion of work to meet company standards. With over thirty years’ experience in the sales and marketing field and with the last fifteen held in senior management positions in both Ireland and Europe, Derek has been responsible for the profitable management and development of an extensive product range across varied supply channels. Areas of responsibility have included full P&L, change management, business process reengineering, restructuring, corporate branding, commercial development of new products, technical marketing, cross functional management across all business functions including Human Resources, Finance and Supply Chain.
